A Crypto.com Visa Card is a card linked to a Crpto.com account. The prepaid debit card allows users to transfer crypto without converting it to cash or fiat.  Although it’s linked to Visa, a payment provider, the card is not an actual credit/debit card as it’s not linked to your bank account. 

You can use the Visa card anywhere Visa is accepted.

How Does Crypto.com Visa work?

You need to top up the card’s balance using a debit/credit card, cryptocurrency, or FIAT currency through Crypto.com.  

To top up your Crypto.com Visa card through a credit or debit card, you’ll need to:

  • Open the card page and click on Top Up
  • Select credit card
  • Click on add debit or credit card and enter the required card information
  • Choose the top-up amount in USD
  • Confirm the transaction

To top up your Crypto.com via Fiat Wallet:

  • Scroll to the card page and tap on top-up
  • Choose Fiat wallet
  • Enter the top-up amount in USD

Users can also top up the Visa card using Paypal, but there’s a 2.1% transaction fee incurred when using this method. 

Topping up your Crypto.com Visa Card through PayPal involves:

  • Going to the card tab and selecting top-up
  • Choose top up and click on the credit card section
  • Tap on connect with PayPal
  • Enter your PayPal account details to log in
  • Confirm your preferred card
  • Enter the top-up amount in USD
  • Confirm the transaction

If you opt for crypto, you can purchase cryptocurrencies through the Crypto.com app and fund the card’s balance. 

To top up your Crypto.com Visa card using the Crypto wallet, you’ll need to:

  • Launch the card page and click on top-up.
  • Choose the Crypto wallet and find your preferred cryptocurrency to top up the card
  • Select the top-up amount in crypto or USD
  • Confirm the transaction

For maximum/minimum limits, you can scroll over to settings, fees &limits, and select buy/sell Crypto.

After funding the card, you can use it to pay for goods and services in any online store that accepts Visa cards.  You can also make ATM withdrawals at any ATM that has the VISA/VISA Plus logo. 

Is Crypto.com Visa Card Free?

Crypto.com Visa card is free to obtain for CRO token holders. There’s no setup fee, no monthly fee, and no annual fee. The only requirement is to have CRO tokens and sake them for 180 days. 

Is Crytpo.com Visa Card a Credit Card?

No, the Crypto.com Visa Card is a prepaid debit card and not a credit card.  It doesn’t attract any monthly or annual fees.  You can also top it up with Fiat currency or cryptocurrency. 

Where Can I Use My Crypto.com Visa?

You can use the Crypto.com Visa card in online retail stores with a VISA logo. The card can also be used to pay for goods/services in stores that accept VISA cards. 

It’s also possible to withdraw cash from any ATM worldwide with the VISA/VISA Plus Logo. 

Can I Upgrade My Crypto.com Visa?

Yes, it’s possible to upgrade your Crypto.com card. Nonetheless, you’ll need to increase the amount of CRO you’ll be staking for you to upgrade to the next tier. The new CRO amount that you stake will be locked up for six months after increasing your stake. 

To upgrade your card, you’ll need to:

  • Go to the CRO Wallet in the application
  • Click on Upgrade 
  • Follow the next steps

However, to move to a higher tire, you need to stake the required amount of CRO. The upgrade also incurs a $50 fee as Crypto.com will have to issue a new physical card. 

While waiting for your new physical card, you’ll receive a virtual card from Crypto.com. That allows you to continue transacting. You’ll get an email once your physical card is ready. You can then transfer funds from the previous card to your new one. The new card will have the same expiry date and CVV as your virtual card. 

Note that if your provided address is under review, you’ll need to wait and have it reviewed before the upgrade.

The whole process of upgrading your Crypto.com card takes 7-15 business days from the day of request to get a new card. 

How Long Does it Take to Get Crypto.com Visa?

The process takes 7-14 business days for cardholders in the U.S., U.K, and EU.

Yes, the Crypto.com Visa card is safe. Crypto.com is a Hong Kong-based company and is considered a safe platform for both its wallet and app. Real-time threat detection and other security features keep the platform safe.

How Much are Crypto.com Visa Card Fees?

The Crpto.com Visa Card has no monthly or annual fees. It’s free to get the card as long as you have CRO tokens. Additionally, there are no transaction fees when using the card overseas or locally. 

However, when funding your Crypto.com card, certain fees might accrue. 

Toping up your Crypto.com Visa card using a credit card incurs a 2.99% transaction fee. Also, when using PayPal to top up your card, you’ll have to incur a 2.1% transaction fee. 

If you upgrade your Crypto, com Visa ard, you’ll need to pay $50.  Crypto.com also charges a $4.95 fee for an inactive account after a year. Losing your Crypto.com card also attracts a $7 free if it’s a midnight Blue card and $50 for any other card tier.
